1) Never let yourself get to hungry!

When hunger becomes unbearable, we typically reach for all the wrong foods. You can stop this happening by planning your meals throughout the day. Eat small portions every 3 hours or so. Stick to your plan and you'll never feel too hungry.

2) Setting diet goals

It's all good to have long term goals, but it's often hard to stay motivated. Instead, set yourself small short term goals as well. Goals that you can reach in 1-2 weeks. When you meet these goals you feel good and want to continue with the diet.
