Stay Focused !
"When you practice your darts, don't just idly throw your darts, CONCENTRATE on each throw, the average time it takes to throw all three darts is anywhere between 15 secs and 30 secs, lets face it, that isn't alot of time for you to STAY FOCUSED
When you throw, you should be in a steady, comfortable position, both feet flat on the floor. LOCK your eyes on the exact spot where you want the dart to land, when you have thrown the dart, your hand, arm, shoulder and dart should be pointing to that spot where your eyes are looking. Hope this helps"

Inside darts & Inside your head
"I've seen a lot of tips on this page but few that hit the mark
Don't dip your shoulder is one. Jelle Klaasen dips his shoulder and yet won the world title.
Don't lean forward. Simon Whitlock leans forward and averaged over a hundred for the 2010 PDC world championships where he reached the final. Keep your feet planted. Unlike Peter Manley, former world number 1 and three times world finalist.
Fact! there are bad technical throwers out there who are very accomplished. Phil Taylor is one of them. Ever noticed that Taylor holds the dart on the left hand side of his face and throws across his own field of vision. Add to this a technically awful dart grip and the end result is a man who wins 15 world titles and routinely averages 110.
Here is the only tip you will ever need.
Get comfortable and practice. Then practice some more. And then add a couple of hours a day to that doing even more practice. When you get sick of practicing, practice some more anyway. That's the only way that you are going to get really good at the game of darts.
Here's the thing though........ it has to be the right kind of practice. There are many practice routines (try googling some) and some work for some people and some work for others. If you are trying a practice routine and it is frustrating you, stop. It's doing you no good as you are practising negatively. Change routines and get your head happy again. You can come back to the other later.

Chipping and putting
"Driving fast and straight is easy but it’s the drivers who can speed through the corners that become world champions, darts is all about hitting the doubles, snooker is about controlling the cue ball and golf is no different. The money is in the short game, practice chipping and putting and your game will improve dramatically. "
